Welsh Rarebit Topped Pitta With Fried Eggs

Welsh Rarebit Topped Pitta With Fried Eggs
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes


  • 5 Mission Wheat and White Pittas
  • 1kg [35oz] mature cheddar cheese, grated
  • 10 tsp English mustard powder
  • dash of bitter beer
  • 15 egg yolks
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 5 beef tomatoes each sliced into 6
  • 10 fried eggs


  1. Slice open pittas lengthways
  2. Preheat the grill and toast pitta on one side only Mix the cheese, beer and egg yolks together
  3. Spread onto the uncooked side of the pitta
  4. Place on the grill and cook until lightly browned
  5. Top each with 3 slices of tomato and a fried egg.
  6. Serve
